Mahogany box containing scale with steel beam with swan neck terminals (178mm.), with weight compartment for weights, with a rather odd paper label referring to Chas G Wood Medical Officer of the Watermen and Lightermen’s Asylum dated 1898. The scale pans are silver each hallmarked London 1808/9  TM = Thomas Meriton – Foster Lane London  Box 200x100mm.
