If bidding by email or phone, please quote the lot number and brief description with your maximum bid. There is no fax facility.

You may view the lots either online or by arrangement with us. Viewing is also possible from 9.30am-5pm at the London Coin Fair, Holiday Inn Bloomsbury Coram Street, London WC1 (click here for directions and further details). There is a small charge for general entry to the exhibition.

The first price in the catalogue is the reserve; bids will be refused below this. The second price is an estimate but you may need to bid higher to secure a lot. Bidding is in increments of £1. Bids will be reduced to 10% (rounded up to the nearest pound) above the next highest bid;

Example 2. Weight reserved at £100, you bid £200 but are the only bidder so you buy at £100 (the reserve)

Postage: will be added to orders at cost and goods sent by registered insured mail where possible (minimum £4.50), or by recorded mail from £1.50 if under £28 inland. Goods are sent overseas by international airmail insured (signed for), or by parcel post, or if you wish at your risk by airmail (no insurance). Prices start from 1.50 (no insurance) and from 5 GBP for insured airmail to Europe, and 6 GBP to non-EU countries.
Payment: Payment is due on receipt of our invoice in cash, or by sterling cheque, and goods are sent out when we receive payment. Payments from abroad should be in pounds sterling drawn on a UK bank. We accept US dollars; please indicate on your bid-sheet if you want to be invoiced in US funds (note: Bids must be in £ sterling). We accept credit cards (Visa, Amex and Mastercard) and Visa/Maestro debit cards for payment. If you wish to pay by this method please put your card details on the bid-sheet (card number, issue date, expiry date, issue number (Maestro only), and name and address as written on your card and statements), and sign your bid sheet. Post this to us (don't email card details - the site's not secure enough). Successful bids can then be sent out without delay which speeds up transactions to the advantage of all. We also accept PayPal but charge 2% for card processing on amounts over 50 GBP - details for payment will be on your invoice.
Photographs: We will be gradually placing images on our web site of most of the lots. However, the weights are mostly self explanatory from the descriptions as long as you've got a copy of Withers. Please state on your bidding form if you want photos of items on which you are unsuccessful. Requests made after the closing date cannot be met.

Grading & other abbreviations: Please note that the weights are bronze or brass unless stated otherwise.
