1. GB 1851- GB Great Exhibition Prize medal of the Exhibition awarded on edge to Cournerie & Co. Class II, (France 462 in catalogue). AE76mm. Iodine Manufacture, Cherbourg, France. This is one of the earliest instances of the commercial production of iodine and therefore an important development in the modern chemical industry; design by William & Leonard C Wyon couple of scratches on Victoria's cheek, otherwise EF sold

Netherlands 1883 Amsterdam/Haiti Exposition Internationale d'Amsterdam Republique d'Haiti, General Salomon President; central design by Brichaud featuring a palm tree topped by a Republican bonnet after the French, flags, cannon and a drum, L'Union fait la Force; reverse within a wreath the names of the current Haitian Government, and the name of the Dutch commissaire general H Hoeylaerts Hon. 15. Printing 1902, USA, September 1902 Sixteenth Annual Convention United Typothetae of America Pittsburgh PA. Coster standing at right, radiate printing press behind, looking at list of famous printers, beginning with himself, looped AE 43mm. EF £38
16. Railways 1844 Germany Railway Exhibition Berlin, Germania seated with sword and wreath, by Loos & Lorenz; rev. steam train travelling over a viaduct with shields around representing the various industries aided and distributed. AE44mm. EF £35
