The themes of the following historical medals are war and peace as propaganda, satire, heroism, tragedy and and the triumph of hope, generosity and resolve. They merit study so that we don't repeat the mistakes of the past.

France/Belgium - Honorific medal to the town of Liege; Ville de Liege (Belgium) 1914 1915 engraved on reverse on either side of the arms of the city. The Republic wears a bandeau "Concordia" with oakleaves and wheatsheaves in her headdress. bronze 50mm. gVF GBP 15

Belgium/Britain, The Advance of XXX Corps Across Europe A boar rampant, badge of XXX Corps dividing 3 shields HQ 21st Army Group, Canadian 1st Army, 2nd Army. Alamein Cuxhaven (most southerly/northern parts of the campaign) reverse 1944-1945 Lists battles from Normandy to the crossing of the Rhine and the final advance into Germany. by P.
