77 PATTENMAKERS COMPANY silver Livery badge, looped, Dr A P Thurston MBE Admitted 8th July 1943, maker TF (Fattorini) 32mm. £140 Note: AP Thurston was the First Doctor of Science in Aeronautics in Gt. Britain, a recipient of a Drapers' Scholarship at Queen Mary College, London, founded first University Aeronautical Laboratory in Britain and was prominent during the First World War for the design and safety of military aircraft.

80 PAVIOURS, ?Past Master's silver badge, arms of the Company engraved open-work style within an oval frame, with shield of the Corporation above 35x27mm. named on the reverse Harold Harker 2nd November 1939 maker Gold & Silversmiths Co. £150 Note: This may be just a Livery badge simply made at the outbreak of war but is of a different style to other Livery badges we have seen.

82 PLUMBERS COMPANY, silver medallet 'in commemoration of six hundredth anniversary 1365-1965'; arms of the Company with a Justice upholding the shield of the Corporation 32mm. not hallmarked £35

85 - another example of a silver prize medal, awarded to S Deacon, but boxed; the internal silk is printed in gold with the Company arms and Prize for Table Poultry, maker Baddesley Bros London 44mm. £80
86 WORSHIPFUL COMPANY OF SADDLERS white metal medal with on the reverse struck in the die Master Of The Worshipful Company Of Saddlers 38mm. £45 Possibly used as both Livery badge and a prize.
87 SALTERS COMPANY Imperial Conference 1930 two silver spoons (gilt on the inside of the bowls) with the arms of the Company on the finial, box embossed with description, maker The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd, 112 Regent St London 118mm. approx. in length. London Hallmark 1931/2 £80 Note: These presentation spoons are an interesting aside - we had not come across any badges or medals for this Company so included these as a substitute.

93 - A bronze prize medal, with the arms of the Company; reverse 'Competitive Exhibition Londini - Honoris Causa 1877', on edge W Froude Esqre Juror, 48mm. £150 Note: William Froude 1810-1879 was the first to formulate laws of the resistance of ships in water. He assisted Brunel both in building the Bristol to Exeter Railway and the Great Eastern. 1877 was the year he developed a hydro dynamometer to measure the output of large ship engines.
