Leopold as childputto and text

Netherlands/Belgium: Leopold, duc de Brabant by F. VERMEYLEN, Societe Hollandaise Belge des Amis de la Medaille d'Art 1910 issue, reverse Spes Fides Amor - the child as hope for the future - but the prince died after falling into a pond at the age of 10 in 1869. He was the only son and heir of Leopold II of Belgium. However, the future Leopold III, son of Albert I, was nine years old in 1910 and this medal may also refer to him.
