Coin dealing in the historical sense is our main business, chiefly World Coins, tokens, commemorative and prize medals (not military really although we have bought and sold some of the classic sets) and weights.
For these we prefer to deal on a one-to-one basis with people if we can, either face to face at shows, or by (e)mail, rather than putting out only fixed price lists.
We always need to buy in order replenish our stock and also accept consignments for our specialist auctions. Please contact us first before sending any goods.

Auctions We hold postal auctions for weights, medals and tokens. Our next auction is for tokens, tickets and passes, MB51, closing date 31 March 2010, The illustrated catalogue is online. Our last auction was for weights, MB49 coin weights and scales, closing 11 February 2010.and the illustrated catalogue is still online, The next token catalogue is in preparation and scheduled for March 2010 with our usual eclectic and wide-reaching selection, including a small collection of pub tokens, extensive non-British and foreign, and some useful 17th-20th century British tokens for your collections. We're always interested in receiving consignments for these sales.

London Coin Fairs We organised these for nearly 30 years and they're still going strong, even though we've passed the baton on to new management. The next London Coin Fair is on 6 November 2010, Holiday Inn WC1. It's the UK show all the dealers and collectors put in their diary and visit. | Medals Gradually we've been adding more pages to the website including the War and Peace medal pages. These are not war medals in the sense of gallantry medals but commemoratives and awards for charity work, favours and fundraisers. The religious medals page has just been updated and we've added a page of Agricultural and Horticultural medals. Medals are offered subject to being unsold (we do sell a lot!) These pages will give you an indication of the type of material we deal in, both buying and selling. |
Modern medals post 1945 - MB50 closing date 21 September 2010 - a postal auction - catalogue online very soon! Meanwhile, for some really inexpensive medals take a look at the Famous Faces page. For very modest prices you can obtain very decent medals. Contemporary medals please look at the current medals pages for some new offerings including the John Maine silver medal and news about Ron Dutton's recent award.
