Coin dealing in the historical sense is our main business, chiefly World Coins, tokens, commemorative and prize medals (not military really although we have bought and sold some of the classic sets) and weights.

For these we prefer to deal on a one-to-one basis with people if we can, either face to face at shows, or by (e)mail, rather than putting out only fixed price lists.

We always need to buy in order replenish our stock and also accept consignments for our specialist auctions. Please contact us first before sending any goods.

Auctions We hold postal auctions for weights, medals and tokens.

Our current postal auction is for tokens, tickets and passes. MB44 closing 10 June 2008. Once again, the catalogues is posted online. A mixture of the sacred and the profane we have all sorts of things from brothel tokens to evangelical texts, gaming counters to emergency small change.

Also in preparation are catalogues for weights and scales, including an extensive selection of rockers and folding balances (late summer)For archive copies of previous auctions see below.

How to meet us

As we organise the London Coin Fair we most certainly will be there on 7 June! We didn't attend the ANA in 2007 but hope to catch up with our US clients in Baltimore in 2008.We also usually stall out at the Jury's Hotel fair in Great Russell Street, next date 3 May..

London Coin Fairs

We've organised these for nearly 30 years and they're still going strong! Our next London Coin Fair is on 7 June 2008, Holiday Inn WC1. It's the UK show all the dealers and collectors put in their diary and visit.

We have over 70 dealers exhibiting mainly from UK but a few also from USA, Canada and Europe. Baldwins are hosting the Argentum sale as usual. More details on this site nearer the time.

Medals Gradually we've been adding more pages to the website including recently produced medals. Also revised are pages for famous people on Russian/Soviet medals. We've added a War and Peace section for propaganda medals of the 20th century as well as Gandhi medals, medals of musicians and a good selection of exhibition medals from 19th-20th century.

There are Art Nouveau and Art Deco pages online too.

Modern medals post 1945 - A new catalogue is in preparation for the early part of 2008.

For Contemporary medals, check out some of the medals seen at the FIDEM 2004 congress in Portugal - some of these are available now or can be obtained. A small selection of the work of Danuta Solowiej is online at present with some other newly arrived medals.
